Be Youth project reaches the last milestone

The Municipality of Odorheiu Secuiesc was involved as partner in the European project „BE

YOUTH – Building Europe through YOUTH participation”.


The 4 th project event which took place from 3 rd to 6 th of February was hosted by Odorheiu

Secuiesc and aims to strengthen and raise awareness in young people as a sense of belonging

to the European Union, as well as calls to local youth communities for civil initiative and

commitment. A total of seven partners meeting in this series of events concluded in concrete

opportunities for youth organizations to get to know each other and d to exchange their

previous experiences.

An important milestone of the meeting was the presentations held by the local youth

organizations and the local student’s councils.

The partnership of the project is formed by Castel Bolognese (I) as Leader, and Ayuntamiento

de Roquetas de Mar (E), Mazsalaca (LT), Capizzi (I), Csurgó (H), Pegeia (CY), Youth Center

of Valenje (SLO), and Municipality of Odorheiu Secuiesc.

Further activities: exchange of experience, meeting local youth organizations, local projects,

best practice, building a new website, making short films and commercials, etc.

In addition it was proclaimed a competition for secondary school students for designing a

project logo and more spots were shot to asses young people’s knowledge and awareness

about the European Union.
